Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 5 – Cambodia has confirmed 345 cases of COVID19 with 305 recoveries and no death as of 12:35 p.m on 5 December 2020.
On 4 December, the ministry has reported 10 cases of COVID19, according to the Ministry of Health’s press release dated Saturday (5 December).
Among those, four cases were found on passengers returning from the United States through Taiwan's flight to Cambodia. Three are American men and one is a Khmer man.
The other six cases are related to “Community 28 November” event. They are Cambodian staffs working at Pedro shop (Sihanoukville Boulevard branch).
"Community 28 November" is the first ever community transmission COVID19 case detected in Cambodia on 28 November 2020. Counting from 29 November to 3 December, at least 10,147 people were tested. As a result, 29 tested positive for COVID19.
The Ministry of Health appealed to everyone who is related to “Community 28 November” to take the second test on 8 December 2020 at the designated locations.
