Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 9 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, his wife, and 18 bodyguards were tested negative of COVID19 after taking the second test, according to the premier’s Facebook on Monday.
"I must isolate myself and wait for the third test on 14 November and the fourth test on 18 November,” the premier wrote.
"I am awaiting test results of over 900 people who had contacted both directly and indirectly with the Hungarian foreign and trade minister. I label the event as [3 November]", he added.
The premier continued that "[3 November] will end after the test results of over 900 people released. Therefore, it is necessary to isolate yourself. If not, it will take longer period of time".
Premier Hun Sen seriously ordered the Ministry of Health, Phnom Penh and Kandal authorities to strictly monitor people who have been put in quarantine.
Hungary’s Péter Szijjártó has tested positive for COVID19 in Bangkok after he departed Phnom Penh on 3 November after completing official visit to Cambodia.
To date, Cambodia has confirmed 297 of COVID19 with 288 recoveries and no death.
