Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 3 – Cambodia and Hungary have signed three important documents on the occasion of Hungarian Foreign Minister’s official visit to Cambodia on Tuesday.
The signing ceremony was presided over by Prime Minister Hun Sen at the Peace Palace, Phnom Penh.
The three important documents are as follows:
1. Air Service Agreement between the Government of Kingdom of Cambodia and the Government of Hungary; signed by Hungarian Foreign and Trade Minister Péter Szijjártó and Cambodian Minister in charge of the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation Mao Havannal.
2. Memorandum of Understanding on Field of Water Management between the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Ministry of Interior of Hungary, signed by Péter Szijjártó and Minister of Water Resources Lim Kean Hor.
3. Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Ministry of Agriculture of Hungary on Cooperation in the Field of Agriculture, signed by Péter Szijjártó and Agriculture Minister Veng Sakhon.
Péter Szijjártó’s official visit will further expand and strengthen the traditionally close relations of friendship and cooperation between Cambodia and Hungary.
Péter Szijjártó is the third Foreign Minister to visit Cambodia amidst COVID19 pandemic, following Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi in August 2020 and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in October 2020.
