Phnom Penh (FN), Oct. 26 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen stated that both foreigners and some Cambodians, who allegedly accused China of setting up military base in Cambodia, aimed to plot color revolution.

His statement was made on Monday at the groundbreaking ceremony of two bridges connecting Koh Pich to Koh Norea and Koh Norea to National Road 1.

The premier said he is bored of some foreigners and Cambodians who accused the presence of Chinese troops in Cambodia, the allegations that he has constantly denied.

Premier Hun Sen underlined that the allegations of Chinese armed forces present in Cambodia are baseless and lack of evidence.

"Does China have troops in Cambodia? I am bored of the baseless accusations of some foreigners and some Cambodian people,” he said.

"You [some foreigners and Cambodians] never listen to me. Where is the evidence that Cambodia secretly agrees with China to use the Ream Naval Base for 30 years. If you do not give evidence, you are lying,” he continued.

Samdech Hun Sen also announced not to tolerate Ho Vann, a former leader of the court-dissolved Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP), who ordered the protest against the Chinese Embassy on 23 October 2020.

On the 29th anniversary of the Paris Peace Accords on 23 October 2020, about 20 CNRP activists protested against the Chinese Embassy in Phnom Penh under direct orders from Ho Vann, who allegedly accused that "China has set up military bases in Cambodia."
