Banteay Meanchey (FN), Oct. 21 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun urged all politicians not to discriminate against flood victims when distributing humanitarian donations.
His appeal was made Wednesday during his visit to Banteay Meanchey’s Mongkol Borey district.
Premier Hun Sen also urged the Banteay Meanchey provincial authorities to coordinate with all humanitarian donors and politicians who wish to donate to the victims in their areas.
“The more donations available for affected people, the better,” he said, adding that “do not discriminate; we must save everyone, [leave no one behind].”
Head of the Royal Government said, “when people face difficulties, Hun Sen always runs to the people first; Hun Sen never waits for people to run for his help.”
Amidst COVID19 pandemic and floods, Cambodian people have joined hands to help each other, reflecting Khmer solidary.
Kem Sokha, leader of the court-dissolved Cambodia National Rescue Party, has donated USD 5,000 to Premier Hun Sen to assist flood victims.
