Phnom Penh (FN), Jul. 23 – The Ambassador of Cuba to Cambodia Liurka Rodriguez Barrios held a meeting with Founder and CEO of Fresh News Lim Chea Vutha at the Cuban Embassy in Phnom Penh on Thursday.

Ambassador Liurka Rodriguez Barrios said she wanted to learn more about media situation in Cambodia and expressed her interest to cooperate with media outlets in disseminating information.

As a former journalist, the ambassador told Lim Chea Vutha that she clearly understands the nature of work and the difficulties that challenge the journalists.

“It indeed requires determination, commitment, and passion in order to succeed in media field,” she said.

Ambassador Liurka Rodriguez Barrios has been serving in Cambodia for eight months. She has met with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen; Minister of Foreign Affairs Prak Sokhonn; Minister of Economy and Finance Aun Pornmoniroth and many other dignitaries.
