Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 10 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen called on citizens who have been in contact with a 38-year-old Siem Reap man to urgently seek health tests.
He spoke Tuesday at a graduation ceremony in Phnom Penh.
The Kingdom confirmed late Saturday the first case of Covid-19 on a 38-year-old Cambodian man in Siem Reap province. The man was among the four people who had close contacts with the Japanese man found positive of Covid-19 up on arrival in Japan. The three others, however, were tested negative.
On 9 March, 22 people who are close to the 38-year-old Cambodian man and the Japanese man were tested negative, according to Cambodian Health Ministry’s spokesperson Or Vandine.
Cambodian Government also shut down schools in the city of Siem Reap to prevent the spread of Covid-19 among the children.
