Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 30 – At least 1,533 foreigners of 63 nationals were deported from Cambodia, according to General Department of Immigration’s report released Thursday at the 2019 annual congress.
The report shows that 1,013 were Chinese, 220 Thais, 149 Vietnamese, 94 Nigerians, 31 Indians, 25 South Koreans, and 17 Americans.
Those people were deported for crimes they committed, including VOIP telecommunications frauds, online gambling, illegal settlement, overstaying visas, and drug abuse.
Since the establishment of the General Department of Immigration in 2014, a tally of 16,720 illegal expatriates of 96 nationals were expulsed from the Kingdom.
