Kampot (FN), Dec. 21 – Cambodia's Prime Minister Hun Sen announced to strengthen physical connectivity and facilitate land and air transports to the coastal provinces, addressing Saturday at the 8th Sea Festival in Kampot province.
"After completing the expansion of National Road 3, it will surely facilitate traffics to Kampot and Kep,” said Prime Minister Hun Sen.
“For Sihanoukville, the traffic will be better after Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville expressway finished.”
He continued that National Road 48 will also connect Koh Kong to Pursat’s Thmor Da and Battambang’s Samlot.
The premier highlighted the importance of air connectivity that would help strengthen and promote tourism and economic growth.
“Currently we have flights from Phnom Penh and Siem Reap to Sihanoukville,” he said
He urged the authorities to take close attention to the safety of seafaring and apologized for the loss of Amelia Bambrige.
