Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 12 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen claimed that the construction of the expressway in Cambodia is in line with regional and global integration, connecting transport networks from one country to another.

According to his Facebook post on Thursday, prime minister pointed out that the expressway will enhance Cambodia's transport capacity.

“Since the country obtained full peace, the pace of nation-building has accelerated. Over a short period of time, Cambodia has built a lot of infrastructure including roads, bridges, and flyovers to facilitate travels and businesses throughout Cambodia,” he wrote.

According to the premier, the construction of the "Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway" is active, which completed more than 7 percent as of December 2019 and to be completed by 2022 before SEA Games in 2023.
