Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 11 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen said that once the state-run Calmette Hospital is modernized and equipped with advanced technology, he will receive medical care and treatment in the country, addressing Wednesday at the graduation ceremony in Phnom Penh.
“When the hospital [Calmette] becomes the state-of-the-art, multidisciplinary referral hospital, I would not have to go abroad for treatment anymore,” said prime minister.
The premier has fundraised approximately USD 72 million from donors nationwide for the modernization of Calmette Hospital. Combined with the USD 30 million state budget, the figure has climbed to USD 102 million.
