Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 6 – The Universal Peace Federation (UPF) in Southeast Asia, in collaboration with the Royal Government of Cambodia, will hold the 2019 Asia Pacific Summit (APS) from 18-21 November 2019.
Director of UPF SEA Dr. Julius Malicdem, said the event will have more than 50 countries participated, speaking Tuesday morning at a press conference on the preparation of the Asia-Pacific 2019 Summit, held at Tonle Bassac 1 Restaurant in Phnom Penh.
“The Asia Pacific Summit expects to welcome over 1,000 local delegates and more than 500 international delegates from over 50 countries," said Dr. Julius Malicdem.
"The theme of this year addresses current challenges, peace, reconciliation, mutual prosperity and universal values," he added.
The first UPF Asia Pacific Summit 2018 was held in Kathmandu, Nepal from 30 November to 3 December 2018, attended by Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, State Counsellor of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Aung San Suu Kyi, and other regional leaders.
UPF, founded in 2005, is an international and interfaith network of individuals and entities, including representatives from various governments, parliaments, civil society, the private sector, committed to achieving world peace, freedom, harmony, cooperation, and prosperity.
