Phnom Penh (FN), Oct. 22 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen announced to handcuff any traitors coming into Cambodia, addressing on Tuesday at the graduation ceremony of Build Bright University (BBU) at Diamond Phnom Penh.
“Any traitor coming to Cambodia will be handcuffed; all the armed forces will execute the orders,” the premier warned.
The premier also informed the former opposition groups, who announced to launch the coup, that all the neighboring countries work and cooperate with the legitimate Royal Government of Cambodia, not illegal rebels.
Sam Rainsy, calling himself the acting president of former CNRP, has strongly denounced the Constitution; announced to fund military to topple the Royal Government; and urged Cambodian King, the Head of State, to abdicate.
The Royal Government of Cambodia, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has sent, last month, the arrest warrants of Sam Rainsy and his accomplices to all the ASEAN Members.
Cambodia’s neighbours Laos and Thailand have announced that they will not allow any groups, referring specifically to the group of convict in exile Sam Rainsy, to use their territories for initiating coup against Cambodia.
Mu Sochua, a key figure of ex-CNRP, was banned from entering Thailand on 20 October 2019, as her name was blacklisted alongside Sam Rainsy, in accordance to requests made by Cambodia.
