Phnom Penh (FN), Sept. 2 – Judge Horm Mengse sentenced former Takeo governor Lay Vannak to 13-year imprisonment for murdering a woman, identified as Jev Sovathana, according to a senior court official on Tuesday.

The other three accomplices, include Vannak’s driver Men Samai, sentenced to two-year imprisonment; Lay Narith, deputy police commissioner of Takeo, sentenced to 10 years; and Chem Vuth, the victim's housemaid, sentenced to two years.

The victim Sovathana was murdered in her house, located in Daun Keo city of Takeo province on 26 January 2018.
