Phnom Penh (FN), Aug. 29 – Thai authorities released 85 Cambodian workers, who have been imprisoned near the border in Thailand’s Sa Kaeo province since 25 April 2019, over their alleged illegal immigration, according to Cambodia’s foreign affairs’ press release dated Thursday.
The release came after the intervention of Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Bangkok and the Cambodia’s Consulate General in Sa Kaeo province.
All 85 Cambodians have returned Cambodia on Wednesday afternoon.
