Koh Kong (FN), Dec. 15 - Cambodia will host international bike race at the coastal areas to promote the kingdom’s potential tourism sector with the support from Most Beautiful Bays in the World Club.
The plan was discussed between Bruno Bodard, Founder and General Manager of Most Beautiful Bays in the World Club, and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen on Saturday morning in Koh Kong province, where the 7th Sea Festival is held.
According to delegate minister Sri Thamrong, not only will Cambodia host the international bike race, but also the World Congress of the Most Beautiful Bays in the World Club in 2022.
Prime Minister suggested “Darasakor”, which located in Botum Sakor, Koh Kong, as the site for the events; and agreed with Bruno that “Darasakor” will be the starting point of bike race heading towards Bokor Mountain to Kep, to Kampot, and to Sihanoukville.
Bruno appreciated the beauty of Koh Kong province that features all kinds of attractions, including but not limited to waterfalls, mangrove forests, and beautiful bays.
In the meeting, the premier also recalled the difficulties in reaching Koh Kong province during Pol Pot regime, as there were no roads and also threats from the Khmer Rouge forces.
Without Prime Minister’s win-win policy, Cambodia would not be a peaceful and developed kingdom like today.
