(Phnom Penh): Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim sincerely appreciate the mature approach taken by Cambodians who continue to choose peaceful path and give priority to solution through consultation and healthy dialogue.

Malaysian prime minister wrote on his social media on Friday (Nov. 14) as follows:

"I have been in contact with Cambodia's Prime Minister Hun Manet to assess the latest developments regarding the border issue between Cambodia and Thailand. In those discussions, I sincerely appreciate the mature approach taken by Cambodians who continue to choose peaceful path and give priority to solution through consultation and healthy dialogue.

Malaysia certainly fully supports Cambodia's stand to use the channels that have been agreed upon earlier and to support the Kuala Lumpur Peace Treaty dated 26 October 2025 as a platform for ending the ongoing disputes. This principle is important to ensure that any differences are met peacefully, orderly and based on regional understanding.

As a country firmly committed to regional peace, Malaysia will continue to play its role as a fair and responsible facilitator, especially in helping the two friendly countries achieve lasting solutions and contribute to the strengthening of stability in the region."
