Vientiane (FN), Oct. 11 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet received a courtesy call by Xavier Bettel, Deputy Prime Minister of Luxembourg, on Friday (Oct 11) in Vientiane, Laos to discuss work.

Samdech Thipadei warmly welcomed the deputy prime minister of Luxembourg and expressed his pleasure in the meeting. He underlined the long-standing diplomatic relations between Cambodia and Luxembourg.

Samdech Thipadei further noted that there is significant potential to strengthen and expand bilateral cooperation. To facilitate this, he proposed establishing a consultation mechanism between the Foreign Ministries of both countries to explore and identify areas for enhanced collaboration.

For his part, Deputy Prime Minister Xavier Bettel informed Premier Hun Manet of Luxembourg's intention to select Cambodia as one of its partner countries to promote cooperation in key areas including health and education.

Both leaders also expressed strong optimism about deepening and expanding cooperation between Cambodia and Luxembourg in sectors including tourism, banking and finance, digital technology, and demining.
