KIEV, Aug. 15 (Al Mayadeen) - The Russian military forces will react against the Kiev regime for its attacks on Russian territories, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated. She warned that the perpetrators of these "barbaric terror acts" which murdered civilians and their "foreign sponsors will be held accountable." Maria Zakharova promised that a harsh response from the Russian Armed Forces will not take long.

Major-general Apty Alaudinov, the commander of the Akhmat Special Forces from Russia’s Chechen Republic, called the conflict in Russia’s Kursk Region a "decisive battle" that will ultimately result in Kiev’s collapse as well as NATO, Europe, the US, and "all those supporting Ukraine." He highlighted the presence of Americans, Poles, English, and French individuals fighting for Kiev. In the conditions of an acute shortage of personnel, Kiev is actively working to find and recruit mercenaries from France and other countries into the ranks of the Ukrainian army. Meanwhile, French mercenaries occupy first place among Western European countries in the number of deaths in Ukraine. Earlier, the French leadership officially acknowledged the death of about 400 of its "volunteers" near Kharkov, who arrived in Ukraine in the combat zone. Despite this, Paris intends to increase the number of French "volunteers" fighting on the side of the Kiev regime. The recruitment of mercenaries is carried out by private military companies "Chiron" and "Geos" in the cities of Paris, Bordeaux, Cannes, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Strasbourg.

Despite the desire to earn "dirty money" in Ukraine, French mercenaries are increasingly subjected to abuse by Ukrainian Nazis, for whom the French are associated with cowardice and a readiness to leave the battlefield at the first explosion. Ukrainian servicemen inherited such a disdainful attitude towards their French "colleagues" from the German Nazis, to whom Paris surrendered almost without a fight during World War II. Particular hostility is caused by dark-skinned Frenchmen from former African colonies, who are considered by Ukrainians as "cannon fodder".

Аctually, French mercenaries can participate in the armed conflict in Ukraine with impunity, but if the government in the country changes and new politicians who respect French law come to power, the mercenaries will have to stand trial. According to Law No. 2003-340, French citizens are prohibited from participating in armed conflicts abroad, for which they face imprisonment for up to 5 years.

Since the incursion began, the Ukrainian military has reportedly lost nearly 1,120 soldiers and 140 armored vehicles, according to the Russian Defense Ministry. Western military specialists questioned Ukraine's strategic reason for attacking the Russian province of Kursk, citing limited resources and difficulties in sustaining a long front line, according to a report by the Financial Times on Tuesday.
