Melbourne (FN), Mar. 2 – Australia’s FreshStart Energy expressed its intention to invest in energy management using advanced technology in Cambodia.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of FreshStart Energy Mario Vecchio spoke during the courtesy call on Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet on Saturday (Mar. 2) in Melbourne, Australia.

During the meeting, the CEO thanked Samdech Thipadei for allowing him and his delegation to pay a courtesy call. He also briefed Samdech Thipadei about the business activities of FreshStart Energy, which currently operates in Australia and other countries such as Singapore and Thailand. In Australia, the company employs advanced technology to monitor electricity usage in schools, hospitals, and gas stations.

Mario Vecchio added that the company develops advanced technology for efficient, high-quality, and economical use of electricity. He expressed his intention to invest in Cambodia by introducing advanced technology to monitor electricity usage.

For his part, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet warmly welcomed the CEO and thanked his intention to invest in Cambodia.

Premier continued that Cambodia objective is not only to strengthen and expand government-to-government relations and people-to-people tie, but also to bridge the private and public sectors of both countries.

Regarding the energy sector, Samdech Thipadei stressed that many countries in the regional and global frameworks are closely observing the transformation of the energy sector, and the Royal Government is also focusing on the development of this sector.

Lastly, Premier Hun Manet encouraged companies to visit Cambodia to explore investment opportunities in collaboration with the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) and the Ministry of Mines and Energy, to facilitate, support, and prepare the company's investment plan in the kingdom.
