Davos (FN), Jan. 17 – Goldman Sachs, a globally renowned investment firm specializing in banking, securities, and investment management, expressed its intention to invest in Cambodia.

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet received a courtesy call by President of Global Affairs of Goldman Sachs Jared Cohen on 16 January 2024 in Davos, Switzerland.

During the meeting, Jared Cohen expressed gratitude to Samdech Thipadei for allowing him to pay a courtesy call. He provided Samdech Thipadei with insights into the business activities of Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., a leading investment company established in 1869. The firm is dedicated to offering financial services to a diverse clientele, including corporations, financial institutions, governments, and individuals.

Jared Cohen also informed Samdech Thipadei about the intention to expand its investment opportunities to Cambodia. He expressed confidence that, under the honourable leadership of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet, the country will continue to progress with confidence, maintaining macroeconomic stability, and ensuring complete peace.

For his part, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet expressed his pleasure and welcomed the company's interest in investing in Cambodia. He encouraged Goldman Sachs to collaborate with all stakeholders in Cambodia, facilitating a comprehensive study of the country's potential and the viable opportunities for real investment.
