Paris (FN), Jan. 15 – France's Orange Wholesale International conveyed its intention to broaden its investment in Cambodia by establishing technological connectivity from Cambodia to other parts of the world through submarine fibre optic cables.
Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet received a courtesy call by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Orange Wholesale International Emmanuel Rochas on Monday (Jan. 15) in Paris, France.
The CEO expressed appreciation to the premier for granting time for him and his delegation to make a courtesy call. He provided an overview of the progress and activities of Orange Group's business operations, highlighting the company's intention to increase its investment in Cambodia.
Emmanuel Rochas informed Samdech Thipadei that Orange Group has forged an alliance with local companies and is currently working to broaden its investment to enhance 5G systems, aiming for high efficiency, good quality, and reduced consumption costs.
On that occasion, the CEO underlined that Orange Group is keen on extending its investment in ICT from Cambodia to other countries through submarine fibre optic cables.
For his part, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet expressed his satisfaction with the growing interest of investment expansion in Cambodia. The premier requested the company to sustain discussions with existing partners and continue engaging with the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, a key department of the Royal Government, regarding the development of telecommunication and information infrastructure.
