Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 7 – Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP), stated that the success and happiness of the Cambodian people today was born of the January 7 victory.
Samdech Techo spoke on Sunday morning (Jan. 7) at the 45th Anniversary of January 7 Victory Day at Diamond Island Convention and Exhibition Centre, Phnom Penh.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen underlined, "The success and joy experienced by our Cambodian people today was born of the triumph of January 7. Without this pivotal victory, our present achievements would be non-existent. This historical truth underlines the foundation of our current success and well-being.”
Samdech Techo added that the spirit of January 7 is engraved in the conscience of all Cambodians and has become a force of national unity to build and defend the heroic homeland. This enduring spirit has propelled our nation to successive victories, fostering an unwavering commitment to triumph.
On the occasion, Samdech Techo Hun Sen underscored the immense value of peace, highlighting the ease with which it can be disrupted compared to the formidable challenge of its establishment. He underlined the imperative for unity in preserving the hard-earned peace and urged for collective efforts to safeguard it at all cost.
Meanwhile, Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed the CPP’s wholehearted applause and unwavering support for the Royal Government's decision to formally declare December 29 as National Peace Day in Cambodia.
