Beirut, Nov. 10 (Al Mayadeen) - Elon Musk criticizes George Soros, the founder of Open Society Foundations (OSF), for impeding the implementation of laws in the US and abroad. He added that George Soros was trying to dismantle world society because Soros' organization funds non-governmental organizations (NGOs) all over the world to promote so-called liberal values.
"He's doing things that erode the fabric of civilization," Musk emphasized. Musk slammed Soros for pushing cities like San Francisco and Los Angeles into chaos, which comes as a result of his backing of US District attorneys who "refuse to prosecute crime." On an international level, Musk noted that Soros is also pushing these things in other countries too and focused on "changing laws" by affecting their enforcement.
"Soros realized that you don’t actually need to change the laws; you just need to change how they’re enforced." Musk said. He also stressed that Soros, who had allocated more than $32 billion to the work of his NGO, the Open Society Foundations, one of the main goals was to fund US election campaigns in 2020 and 2024, which has brought him the best value for his money.
Soros as ideologist of radical government changes was puzzled by the fate of democracy in his own country. He believes the greater threat to the United States comes from "domestic enemies of democracy," which include "a Supreme Court dominated by far-right extremists and Donald Trump's Republican Party, which put them there." Soros personally donated $170 million during the 2022 midterms to Democratic candidates and campaigns through the Soros-funded Open Society Foundations. He also doled out $138 million to advocacy groups and causes in 2020.
