Beijing (FN), Oct. 19 – Laotian president Thongloun Sisoulith Cambodian prime minister Hun Manet's initiative on Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam Trilateral Tourism Cooperation, based on the motto "Three Countries-One Destination".

The premier held a working meeting with Laotian president Thongloun Sisoulith on Thursday morning (Oct. 19) in Beijing.

Laotian president expressed his pleasure to hold a meeting with Samdech Thipadei in Beijing and congratulated him on his recent appointment. He believed that under the leadership of Samdech Thipadei, Cambodia-Laos relations will continue to grow.

Taking this occasion, president Thongloun Sisoulith also conveyed a greeting message to Cambodian king Norodom Sihamoni and Samdech Techo Hun Sen. In addition, he also congratulated Cambodia for its successful ASEAN chairmanship in 2022, the 32nd SEA Games and the 12th ASEAN Para Games in 2023.

For his part, Samdech Thipadei praised the progress of cooperation in various fields between the two countries. Premier Hun Manet supported the continued implementation of the Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam Joint Disaster Relief Exercise" established in September 2022.

Moreover, Samdech Thipadei also mentioned relevant initiatives to boost cooperation in the tourism sector through the launch of the Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam Trilateral Tourism Cooperation, based on the motto "Three Countries-One Destination", and the Phnom Penh-Vientiane-Phnom Penh direct flight.

In addition, both leaders praised the achievements of the "Comprehensive and Long-term Strategic Partnership" established in 2019. Both sides agreed to further strengthen and expand cooperation in various fields such as national defense, education, energy, exchange visits of high-level leaders, and Samdech Thipadei's initiative on the trilateral tourism cooperation.

Lastly, president Thongloun Sisoulith invited premier Hun Manet to pay an official visit to Laos. Samdech Thipaidei accepted the invitation and will visit at any appropriate time.
