Beijing, Oct. 10 (CGTN) – China urges the United States to promptly investigate Monday's incident at the Chinese Consulate General in San Francisco and take effective measures, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said at a daily news briefing on Tuesday.

An unidentified person tried to break into the consulate to hurt staff and civilians, Wang told the media.
