Maldives (FN), Jan. 16 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen hoped that the Maldives would support Cambodia to become a member of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in the near future, speaking during a joint press conference on Monday afternoon (Jan 16) at the Maldives Presidential Palace.

In return, Cambodia announced to support the Maldives to become a signatory to the Instrument of Accession to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC) as well as an observer of ASEAN.
