BANGKOK, April 30 (Xinhua) -- Thailand is easing up measures for COVID-19 pandemic containment by allowing six categories of business to reopen from the upcoming Sunday.
The Center for the COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) decided on Thursday to relax the measures, confirmed CCSA Spokesman Thaveesilp Wisanuyothin.
Nevertheless, the government-run CCSA would review the relaxed measures if the number of newly confirmed cases of infection increased from one digit to two or three digits daily, Thaveesilp said.
Thailand on Thursday reported a one-digit number of new cases for four consecutive days.
Those categories of business, which are being allowed to reopen from the upcoming Sunday on condition that social distancing rule be strictly observed, include markets, restaurants, hair salons, pet shops and sporting venues.
