WORLD, March 1 (CGTN) - First cases of COVID-19 have emerged in Ecuador, Luxembourg and Ireland.

In Ecuador, the infected is an Ecuadorian woman in her 70s who returned from Spain on Feb. 14. She had pre-existing medical conditions and "is in intensive care".

In Luxembourg, the infected is a man in his 40s who recently returned from Italy. The patient was isolated in a Luxembourg hospital and his family members were in quarantine

In Ireland, the infected in a man who had returned from northern Italy.
