BRUSSELS, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- The first case of COVID-19 infection has been detected in the Netherlands, Dutch Health Minister Bruno Bruins announced on Thursday.

The infected patient is a man who recently visited Lombardy, Italy, and is now under quarantine in a hospital in southern Dutch city Tilburg.
