BEIJING, Feb. 4 (Xinhua) -- Chinese health authorities Tuesday said it received reports of 3,235 new confirmed cases of novel coronavirus infection and 64 deaths on Monday from 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.

Among the deaths, 56 are in Hubei Province and one in southwest China's Chongqing, according to China's National Health Commission.

A total of 20,438 cases of novel coronavirus were confirmed in the Chinese mainland as of 24:00 on Monday, with 426 deaths, said China’s National Health Commission. Chinese hospitals also discharged 632 recovered patients of coronavirus infection so far.
