BEIJING, Dec. 17 (CGTN) -- 14 miners were found dead and two others remain trapped underground after a coal and gas blast at a coal mine in southwest China's Guizhou Province early Tuesday, local authorities said.

The accident happened at around 1:30 a.m. BJT, according to local authorities, who added that a search and rescue operation was underway.
