BANGKOK, Nov. 21 (Xinhua) -- A 6.1-magnitude earthquake hit northern Thailand 6:50 a.m. local time on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.
The quake, which occurred at 2350 GMT Wednesday, was centered 31 km southeast of Chaloem Phra Kiat with a depth of 10.0 km, according to the USGS.
