WASHINGTON, Aug. 8 (CGTN) -- U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday appointed Joseph Maguire, the current director of the country's National Counterterrorism Center, to acting director of national intelligence, assuming the position on August 15.
On the same day, Trump announced on Twitter deputy director of U.S. national intelligence Sue Gordon will resign on August 15, the same day the current director of the ODNI Dan Coats will leave his job.
