BEIJING, June 5 (CGTN) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday arrived in Moscow for a state visit to Russia from June 5 to 7 at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

A welcoming ceremony is being held at the airport.

During his stay, Xi will also attend the 23rd St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), where he will address a plenary session and explain China's stance on sustainable development.

China's economy will have enough factors of support to maintain stable, healthy and sustainable development, President Xi told Russian media on the eve of his visit to the country.
