BEIJING, June 5 (CGTN) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday left Beijing for a three-day state visit to Russia from June 5 to 7 at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Xi will also attend the 23rd St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) during his stay, where he will address a plenary session and explain China's stance on sustainable development.
