COLOMBO, April 25 (Xinhua) -- A minor explosion was reported from a garbage dump in Pugoda, in the eastern outskirts of Sri Lankan capital Colombo on Thursday, police said.

The explosion occurred at around 9:00 a.m. local time and police have cordoned off the area to conduct investigations.

No injuries have been reported yet.
