KUALA LUMPUR, July 2 (Xinhua) -- Thirteen new ministers of the Malaysian government were sworn in on Monday, comprising the full cabinet along with the first batch of 14, nearly two months after the new government of Pakatan Harapan won the election on May 9.

The new ministers, all party heavy-weight figures from the component parties of the coalition, were sworn in at the national palace, witnessed by Malaysian King Muhammad V, as shown on live-broadcasting.

Saifuddin Abdullah from the People's Justice Party, was sworn in as the foreign minister.

Khalid Samad and Mujahid Yusof Rawa from the National Trust Party, were sworn in as minister of federal territories and Minister in the Prime Minister's Department respectively.

Two female ministers, Teresa Kok and Yeo Bee Yin from the Democratic Action party will take up primary industries ministry and science, technology and Innovation ministry respectively.

Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, a 25-year-old party member of PPBM party, was sworn in as minister of youth and sports, becoming the youngest minister in the cabinet.

Twenty-three deputy ministers in the cabinet were also sworn in.
