Phnom Penh (FN), June 29 - The National Election Committee (NEC) has launched the trial television, radio and online news broadcasts, available on “CamNEC News App” to learn and understand the electoral process, according to the NEC press release issued on June 22, 2018.

The NEC has sent SMS messages to 5 million mobile phones daily to inform citizens about the election. More than 100 people have also personally consulted with Call Center free of charge through contact number, 18002018.

According to the NEC, the provision of this information service is meant to serve as a service to the voters, one of the seven principles of its policy.

NEC’s philosophy is that the NEC and ballot casters shall be on the same path.
