Phnom Penh (FN), May 30 - Secretary General of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) Sok Chenda Sophea expressed his warm welcome to the presence of delegations from China led by Gao Yunlong, Vice President of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Chairman of the China Federation of Trade and Industry (ACFIC).
The meeting was also attended by Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Cambodia and 30 representatives from Chinese companies and investors, at the CDC on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the meeting was held to exchange views on bilateral investment cooperation between the two countries, as well as to explore the potential of trade and investment in Cambodia.
He also informed the Chinese side about Cambodian government policies in strengthening, encouraging and building trust for investors who invested in Cambodia.
Gao Yunlong congratulated Cambodia's rapid growth and highly valued the achievements made by the Royal Government of Cambodia, especially the acquisition of a large number of investment projects from abroad.
He also highlighted Cambodia-China good cooperation through the use of bilateral facilitation mechanisms and exchange visits, which respond positively to the framework of the implementation of the "one belt one road" initiative.
By April 2018, Chinese investment in Cambodia valued $17 billion, according to data from the CDC.
