Phnom Penh (FN), May 29 - Addressing to approximately 4,750 Muslims at Phnom Penh’s Koh Pich Center on Tuesday evening, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen hoped that all political parties will accept the July’s elections result determined by the citizens’ votes.
“The election is approaching in two months. Regardless of how many seats each political party will get, we shall respect the people's decisions through the free, fair, and transparent elections prepared by the National Election Committee,” said Prime Minister Hun Sen.
The premier believed that the Muslim community will continue to vote for Cambodian People’s Party in order to maintain peace and development.
The NEC has officially accredited 20 registered political parties for the Election of Members of the National Assembly in the 6th Legislature, to be held on July 29, 2018.
