Phnom Penh (FN), May 28 - Fresh News’s with other two Cambodian journalists and more than 40 Chinese-ASEAN journalists paid a third visit to key areas in China's Anhui province, including Hefei, Lu An, Huainan, Bengbu, Suzhou and Huaibei city.

The tour were organized by Anhui Authority from May 26 to June 3, 2018, to strengthen friendship between China and ASEAN and promote the culture, business, and tourism of the province to the ASEAN countries.

Speaking at the launching ceremony under a theme “ASEAN 10 Nations Mainstream Media and China's Central Leading Overseas-targeted Media: Touring Anhui” in Anhui province on May 27, 2018, Yu Aihua, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Anhui Provincial Committee welcomed the  visit and thanked all relevant parties for organizing these visits for these two years.

Vithit Powatanasuk, Director of the Information and Public Relations Department of the ASEAN Coordinating Council (ACC), said that the participation and support of the media is an effective way to expand tourism, as the media has become a bond of cultural exchanges.

Mah Hanid, President of the ASEAN-China Press Conference of 2018 thanked the visits of ASEAN journalists and she hope that the visits will strengthen cooperation between ASEAN and Anhui province, as well as ASEAN-China.

Zheng Mingwu, Director General of the Anhui Information Department, said that ASEAN and China are good neighbors and the implementation of one belt one road initiative by President Xi Jinping will strengthen the relations between ASEAN and Anhui Province.

Anhui province has established 91 enterprises in 10 ASEAN countries with the capital of $390 million. By 2017, the trade volume between Anhui and ASEAN amounted to nearly $6 billion, an increase of 17.7 % compared to 2016. From January to April 2018, the volume of trade accounted for $2 billion, an increase of 24% compared to the same period in 2017.
