Phnom Penh (FN), May 25 - The Ministry of Information (MoI) has urged owners of media outlets to refrain from quoting messages, audios, images, or videos from any sources that insulted the King, according to the MoI’s letter addressed to owners of media outlets dated on Friday.
The request was made after some media published contents that affected the His Majesty’s dignity and national security of Cambodia.
“Every media owner shall be cautious and self-monitored on all aspects and consider clearly the code of conduct, professionalism, and laws to avoid quoting contents in the forms of audio, images, videos from untrusted sources to broadcast which could affect the society,” MoI wrote in the letter.
