Phnom Penh (FN), May 8 – Cambodia's Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Veng Sakhon met with U.S Senator Doug Ericksen of the Republican in Washington State on Tuesday afternoon at the Ministry to discuss an unprecedented investment on rearing cows for milk in the Kingdom.
The Senator also expressed desire to export rice and fruit from Cambodia.
According to the minister, the U.S Senator also examined the potential of U.S’s market expansion in Cambodia by importing agricultural products from U.S.
The minister expressed the enthusiasm in the cow milk investment, as it will support domestic supplies and Cambodia's exports.
The senator praised the agricultural sector in Cambodia and pledged to continue strengthening and expanding the U.S-Cambodia cooperation to further enhance exchange of experience and the commercialization of agricultural products in the future.
