BEIJING, April 23 (Xinhua) -- Chinese tourists were involved in a major road accident late Sunday in North Hwanghae Province in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), according to information from the official website of China's Foreign Ministry.
The Chinese embassy in Pyongyang received information of the road accident on Sunday night, knowing that it caused casualties among Chinese tourists. Details continue to emerge.
Embassy staff, accompanied by officials from the DPRK's Foreign Ministry, have already set out to the site of the accident.
