Phnom Penh (FN), April 19 - Spokesman of the Ministry of National Defense Chhum Socheat said on Thursday that the weapons Thai authorities arrested in Trat province were not from Cambodia as reported by some social media outlets.

The media outlets have reported that the weapons were transported from Stung Hav, Sihanoukville, Cambodia.

The spokesman said that the report was false and lacked of proper sources. He added that Cambodia has no such types of weapons.

Thai authorities at the checkpoint of Klorng Yai district, Trat province of Thailand, on April 11, 2018, have detained a car carrying weapons from the Port of Klong Son Village, Thailand, approximately 8km from Cham Yeam international border checkpoint.

Authorities arrested two TEPY pistols, four M16 guns with one attached M79 shoot, 20 of M16 cannons, other gun accessories, one Thai citizen and one car.
