Phnom Penh (FN), April 9 - His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni appreciated the Royal Government of Cambodia and the National Assembly (N.A) for maintaining peace, stability and ensuring high annual economic growth.

“I observed that Cambodia has achieved high Gross Domestic Product through the implementation of the Government's policy for economic growth and poverty reduction each year”, King wrote in the royal message for the 10th session of 5th National Assembly, held on Monday morning.

The King added that the NA will continue to work together with other top national institutions in order to ensure peace, stability, politics, security and social order, sustainable development and equity.

The Government has also promoted the implementation of the Health Strategic Plan aimed at improving sanitation, health and welfare of the people, especially the poor, women and children. Additionally, they also implement social security policies and supports for the poor and vulnerable; protect and promote the rights of disabled and elderly people.

The 5th mandate Royal Government also works to develop the infrastructures, transportation, with urbanization to become a dynamic logistics system, contributing to national economy development and improvement of people's welfare.
