ST. PETERSBURG, April 4 (Xinhua) -- lawmakers of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg approved on Tuesday the amendments to the regional Law on the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, which allow to create floating hotels in the city.

TASS reports that small and medium-sized businesses can now rent out plots of city embankments to accommodate hotels on the water. However, new hotels should not cover the view of the main attractions.

The first three floating hotels will appear in St. Petersburg later in 2018.
