Siem Reap (FN), April 4 – Prime Minister Hun Sen asked Dato Lim Jock Hoi, newly-appointed ASEAN Secretary-General, to consider speeding up ASEAN integration, which is a priority for Cambodia as well as ASEAN countries.

His remark was made during the meeting with Dato Lim Jock Hoi at Sokha Hotel in Siem Reap on Wednesday morning.

During the meeting, Dato Lim Joch Hoi informed the premier that he will make every effort to strengthen the ASEAN Secretariat to further promote the development of ASEAN; he also talked about the new building of the ASEAN Secretariat, based in Jakarta, Indonesia, where the new 16-story, two-sided, and high-quality building can be used for ASEAN meetings for cost effectiveness.

In response, Prime Minister Hun Sen thanked for the report on the new building of ASEAN Secretariat, and he agreed that there are many meetings required to promote ASEAN integration.
