SYDNEY, March 26 (Xinhua) — A powerful 7.0-magnitude earthquake shook off Papua New Guinea, the U.S. Geological Survey Said on Monday.

The earthquake, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially centered at 5.7 degrees south latitude and 151.5 degrees east longitude.
